Northern Light United Church (NLUC) is a multicultural union congregation affiliated with the United Methodist Church and the Presbyterian Church (USA) with ministry emphases in social justice, music, youth, and Native Ministries. Northern Light is a More Light/Reconciling congregation. We welcome people of all ages, races, classes, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities into the life and leadership of our church, and we commit to advocating for justice and full inclusion of all people in both church and society.

NLUC is an inviting venue for community meetings, forums, and events, with sound system, full kitchen, and plenty of smaller rooms for any size group from 3 to 300. For more information and to reserve for your event or group, contact the office at 586-3131.

NLUC is pleased to host a multitude of concerts and events such as the Juneau Pride Chorus and the Mudrooms storytelling nights, as well as forums and ongoing groups such as inter-faith council meetings, People for Peace and Justice. NLUC also provides space for Alaska Native Sisterhood Camp 70, AA meetings, Scouts, various music groups, … there is something going on in the building seven days a week. The Juneau Coop Preschool and Juneau Coop Nursery are also housed at NLUC, providing early learning experiences for young children and family engagement activities.
